Your Life is a Mirror

You open your eyes and interpret the world through your senses. You hold on to beliefs that guide your understanding or perception of what you are sensing that enacts your emotional states throughout the day. In essence, the world is a projection of your beliefs. The choice we all possess is our ability to deliberately create the best interpretation of what we experience or to allow ourselves to be influenced and swept away from the thoughts and beliefs of others.

You must desire a better way and raise your standards to achieve the conscious state of focusing more and more on what you want and less and less on what you fear/or do not want. This helps to reinforce any new belief and brings more positive emotions forward. You need to make compelling arguments to yourself about how moving towards your purpose, health, better relationships and abundant living will bring you the joy and happiness that you so desire. When you get your beliefs in line with your desires, you will be compelled to act intuitively towards obtaining your desires in life. You will understand that the world is not conspiring against you and that just the opposite is true. You were born to succeed and to be happy and fulfilled. You are on your way to feeling more positive emotions with the anticipation of moving each day closer to your dreams. If you continue to struggle with your demons, you will need to identify exactly what thoughts and beliefs are holding you hostage. Adopting new beliefs can take time, but you always have the choice on whether you change your beliefs or not. If you are not making progress, then you are choosing to hold on to old beliefs. The goal for you is happiness, so if you are not happy, continue to evaluate what thoughts are contributing to your negative emotions.

If you find yourself blaming others or circumstances on your unhappiness, define the exact belief behind the projection of blame. Many of us hold on to the belief that others cause or contribute to our suffering. One of the most difficult steps in challenging and changing beliefs is to refute a long standing one. Ask yourself a simple question, “Do I have free will?” If you believe that you are free to choose what you think, feel, and act, then you believe that you do. If you indeed possess free will, can you honestly believe that someone else can do anything to make you feel, think, or act in a certain way? Even when we can agree to this logic, we all encounter times when we allow others to influence our thoughts, feelings and actions. Once you understand that you are free to choose what you believe, you want to choose those that uplift and empower you.
